The Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NAME) of BUET successfully arranged the International Conference on Marine Technology (MARTEC) in the years 2010, 2016 and 2022 at BUET, Dhaka, Bangladesh where many researchers joined in the conferences from home and abroad.
Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NAME) of BUET is again entrusted to arrange the 16th International Conference on Marine Technology (MARTEC) which will be held at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Bangladesh in 2028.
The journey of the regional conference on Marine Technology began in 1998. Since then this conference had been organized biennially until 2008 based on the concept that the ASIAN countries will form a regional network and cooperation between academics and industries.
